The Lessons:
I would highly recommend this class for all students here at USM. Sooner or later, presentations will be assigned that need to be more and more creative. After seeing what is available in InDesign, PowerPoint will never look the same to me again. Being able to preset document settings and line up elements along the way was a great benefit and time saver. Using the different effects offered by the application allowed for graphics to be designed on a much higher level than I had previously experienced in other classes.
The Blog:
I had created only one other blog before taking IT 567. It was for a class that I took at the very beginning of my MSIT program of study. I must say, using the blog the way we did made it easy to track my progress in the text. I hope to continue using my blog in this way. I also like being able to revise class projects and to compare them side by side. The feedback I received from my classmates is invaluable to me. I enjoyed seeing other projects and ideas and listening to the comments. As a class, I think we had the same ideas about likes and dislikes and possible improvements.
The Design Elements:
I have already put the design elements to work on one of the bulletin boards in CISE. There was a lot of information that needed to be displayed and the C.R.A.P. rules helped to pull it all together. I received several positive comments regarding my work and was even asked to work on yet another bulletin board!
A personal note as the semester comes to close:
If you have never truly experienced a lot of snow,
you are missing out on the peacefulness,
sheer beauty and absolute FUN of it all.
Happy Holidays Classmates!
May 2015 be kind and generous to you in every endeavor.
