This lesson was all about manipulating tables and the exercise used a room service menu for the demonstration. It was relatively easy to take a listing of items, highlight them all, and then turn the list into a table using the control panel. Establishing menu headers allowed me to utilize some Contrast as I made the text bigger and centered more within the cells. The top two rows were enlarged and then filled with the same color of yellow. The headers were also made to flow onto the next page so that they would not have to be created each and every time a new page was added due to more item choices being added to the menu.
The next few steps involved inserting a lighter yellow color into every other row for another contrasting element. The Repetition of the color in every other row created a nice visual that helped to separate the items and was very eye appealing. The lesson included pasting a red heart (for healthy items) and a red bomb (for spicy foods) next to certain items on the menu. The red color gave a nice contrasting element to the text and the yellow fill of the cells. The items were left Aligned in the cells and the Proximity made it easy to see they were the choices that were available.
